Millwall Defeated 3-0 as Wrexham Achieves First Championship Victory

Wrexham secured their first win of the Championship season with a commanding 3-0 victory against Millwall, raising their prospects of competing for promotion to the Premier League. After starting the campaign with draws against Cardiff and Watford and a home loss to Birmingham, Wrexham made a strong comeback in south London.

The breakthrough came in the first half when an own goal by Zak Sturge, deflecting Issa Kaboré’s cross into the Millwall net, put Wrexham ahead. Kieffer Moore extended the lead shortly after the break with a powerful shot from around 20 yards. Jacques Ekomié sealed the win with a close-range finish, capping a convincing performance.

This outcome marked another setback for Millwall, who have now conceded eight goals in their past two games after starting the season with consecutive clean-sheet victories. Their challenges were compounded by injuries to striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre.

Meanwhile, QPR continued their strong start with a 2-1 win over Cardiff at Loftus Road. Rumarn Burrell netted both goals for QPR, while Perry Ng managed to score for Cardiff. This victory brought QPR’s tally to 10 points from four matches.

Elsewhere, Burnley played to a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough at Turf Moor. Middlesbrough took the lead in the first half through Aidan Morris, but Burnley equalized shortly after the break with a goal from midfielder Ugo Raghouber. Charlton also maintained their unbeaten record after a 1-1 draw with West Brom, where Callum Styles scored for West Brom before Tyreece Campbell equalized in the second half.
